Its been far too long since my last post on this little blog. Truth be known the latter half of 2008 was a bit of a blur.
But 2008 is gone (h'rah!) and 2009 is going to be a very different proposition. I can feel it. There's an air of purpose suffising the ether that is exciting and invigorating. During the months of my absence from this space there have been many thoughts swirling through my head, taking their own sweet time to settle for long enough fr me to get a firm hold and marshall them into some sort of order. They're still not quite there but I think its time to just grab one and Do It. I have a bad habit of wanting to wait for things to be 'perfect' before taking action. Well when are things ever perfect?
Then earlier today I read Alex Beauchamps post on the Waves of Change, and her linked post from last June. She has pinned down the reason for my shapeless discontent: a growing sense of stasis. Its time to Live Well. To be sparing, to seek quality over quantity - always. To make the most of every day; to make a difference, to contribute, to be an active participant. Not to waste any more time.
And, in that spirit, I'm going to resist the urge to live vicariously browsing more blogs - inspiring as they are - and instead I'm off to do some work on my sketchbooks.
Thank you, Alex!
